October Half Term 3D Camp: Trick or Code!

As October half term approaches, parents everywhere are looking for engaging, high-value activities to keep kids entertained. If you'd love to swap passive screen time for creative, skill-building fun, Coco Coders is offering a spooky seasonal solution: the Trick or Code 3D October Coding Camp.

Designed for children aged 8 to 12, this 4-day virtual camp invites young creators into a live, interactive digital lab where they code their very own Halloween-themed 3D games from scratch.

What is the "Trick or Code" Camp?

Running from Monday 26th to Thursday 29th October, the Trick or Code camp delivers 90 minutes of live, expert-led instruction each day. Students build immersive virtual worlds and learn core programming logic by crafting spooky 3D interactive projects.

What Kids Will Create

  • Custom Trick-or-Treat Villages: Kids design and program a kooky 3D village where characters can explore and collect treats.

  • Wacky Pumpkin Launchers: Students experiment with 3D physics engines to code pumpkin-launching mechanics and realistic collision detection.

Tailored for Every Experience Level

No prior experience is necessary. Coco Coders groups students by age and coding experience to ensure every child is challenged at just the right level:

  • Complete Beginners: Go from zero coding knowledge to publishing a functional 3D game in four days, building digital confidence along the way.

  • Scratch Coders: Take 2D logic concepts—like loops, variables, and events—and translate them into a full 360-degree 3D workspace.

  • Python Coders: Dive into spatial design, 3D coordinate systems, and user experience (UX) engineering to sharpen computational thinking.
