Coco Coders awarded ‘Most Engaging Coding Educator 2023 - USA’

We’re proud to announce that Coco Coders has been awarded ‘Most Engaging Coding Educator 2023 - USA’ in the Innovation in Business,  Technology Innovator Awards 2023!

The program celebrates outstanding achievements of businesses in the dynamic world of technology and we’re thrilled to be on the list with recognition since our expansion in the USA last year.

CEO and Founder of Coco Coders, Elizabeth Tweedale, launched the business to fill the gap that many American students experience in computer science education. Having previously launched the UK’s largest coding school, Cypher Coders, expansion in the US with Coco Coders provided a response to the growing need for tech classes designed exclusively for children. Successfully introducing over 12,000 children to the world of coding, we thrive on developing children’s computer science skills but also watching them form meaningful relationships with their teacher and online classmates.

Tweedale comments, “We’re delighted to be leading the way in terms of getting kids future ready. Our curriculum has always been designed to engage students through their interests and show them they can use technology to make an impact in whatever they’re interested in”

Coco Coders also keep things fun and interesting in their weekly coding classes with creative themes…a new one every four weeks…ensuring that children are always challenged by just the right amount.

“A lot of our Coco team are parents, so we know first-hand the struggles of parenting in a digital world, where quite often our kids know more than we do! We communicate with parents regularly so that they’re informed of how their child is doing in lessons and what they’re learning.  We also provide tips, resources and conversation starters to help them communicate with their children about technology, recognize what they’re learning in our classes, and provide activities to do at home.”

Parents can sign up to receive our free Guide to Raising Future Ready Kids which helps parents navigate parenting in the 21st Century.  The guide includes sections covering different types of screen time and how to manage it, online safety and privacy, AI, and a glossary of tech and coding terms.

We’re happy to lead the way, keeping children engaged in computer science and contributing to a generation of future-ready kids. Coco Coders kids will be ready for whatever technological advancements come their way!
